On June 13th, the city of Dallas witnessed a powerful celebration of love, liberation, and lesbian excellence at the Fem Fantasy Fest hosted by Lesbian in Dallas. From THC vendors to luxury press-on nails and infused edibles, the event was nothing short of electric — and we were honored to be part of it.
Abovparr Cannabis at Fem Fantasy Fest
As one of two THC vendors in attendance, Abovparr Cannabis Delivery proudly showed up to support our community with THCA edibles, pre-rolls, and THC drinks. The atmosphere was wildly different from what some expect in nightlife-heavy Deep Ellum — it was drama-free, inclusive, and full of good vibes. The support we received, especially from the studs, was powerful and affirming. In a space where competition can sometimes cloud camaraderie, Fem Fantasy Fest reminded us what true community looks like.
🎤 Community Spotlight: Jay, Co-Founder of Lesbian in Dallas
The driving force behind the event is Jay, co-owner of Lesbian in Dallas, alongside her partner Kendra. The movement began in February 2024 with a speed-dating event on Valentine’s Day, and the overwhelming turnout sparked what has become a thriving lesbian community hub.
Jay’s mission is clear: to reclaim the narrative around African American lesbians by offering classy, fun, safe events. "We wanted to show that lesbians can be classy, we can be ratchet, and we can be adults. We can party and go home," she said during our interview.

🍰 Vendor Spotlight: Infused Delightz – Black-Owned Infused Treats
Meet Ms. Caran J, founder of Infused Delightz, the first Black-owned cannabis brand to partner with Abovparr. After losing her job in 2020, Caran turned her passion for flavorful creations into a THC-infused empire. She began with alcohol-infused cheesecakes and cocktail pouches, but soon transitioned to THC drinks and infused edibles.
What sets Infused Delights apart? A diverse menu: rice crispy treats, jello shots, infused Kool-Aid gallons, cheesecake, cannabis butter, and even infused gumbo at special events. Her creativity has inspired others, but her recipes remain in a league of their own.
